Daniel Radcliffe Reacts to Fans Who Trash 'Harry Potter' Movies - 'It Was 10 Years of My Life'
Daniel Radcliffe still feels a strong connection to the Harry Potter movies.
It’s been more than a decade since the 33-year-old actor last played the titular character in the big-screen adaptations of JK Rowling‘s fantasy series. However, he revealed a trend that he doesn’t take kindly to – fans who trash the movies in an attempt to appear more relatable.
He opened up about the habit in a recent interview.

Daniel told GQ that sometimes he’ll be approached in public by purported fans who say something along the lines of “Loved you in Extras, thought Harry Potter was sh-t.”
“It’s said to me in a way like ‘We’re gonna be closer after I tell you the truth about how I feel,’” he mused. “You can feel that, but I’m not gonna be like, ‘Yeah, man!’ It was ten years of my life.”
The actor reflected on his Harry Potter years while paying tribute to the late Robbie Coltrane, who passed away earlier this month.
He’ll return to screens across the globe next month playing Weird Al in Weird: The Al Yankovic Story. Check out the trailer to see Daniel in character.
