Ryan Murphy Reveals Evan Peters Wanted a 'Normal' Role Before He Pitched Him 'Dahmer'
Evan Peters had his sights set on playing a “normal” character before Ryan Murphy pitched him the idea of playing Jeffrey Dahmer.
The 35-year-old American Horror Story actor portrays the serial killer in the new Netflix series Dahmer – Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story. However, the show’s creator revealed that he was considering some very different roles before taking on the challenge.

Ryan said that Evan was considering doing a rom-com to cleanse his palette after tackling more serious projects, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
However, the script convinced him to sign on for Dahmer.
“He called me the next day, and he said, ‘It’s so challenging. It’s so difficult that I kind of have to say yes to it, even though I’m terrified of it,’” Ryan recalled.
