Rebel Wilson Talks Fertility Journey, Her Surrogacy Experience & Describes Motherhood as 'Amazing' & 'Challenging' After Welcoming Daughter Royce

In regards to her fertility journey, Rebel revealed that she went through “like three egg harvesting procedures” after undergoing a dramatic body transformation during an interview on TODAY.

“Whilst filming The Almond and the Seahorse I tried to create embryos from the eggs, and none of them survived. I’d done all of this, and I’d lost 80 pounds and I’d been healthy and done everything the doctors had said and then was feeling awesome. And it didn’t work. Like all 18 eggs that I had, none of them worked. I was like ‘Oh my god.’”

Rebel decided to try again, which led to the birth of her daughter.

“I was like ‘Okay. I can still try again. I was still young enough to try it a few more times and then luckily got my gorgeous baby girl.”
