Kate Hudson - Daughter of Goldie Hawn - Weighs In On 'Nepo Baby' Debate

Kate Hudson is the latest star to weigh in on the nepotism baby debate.

If you missed it, last week a report was run about the various “Nepo Babies” that are enjoying successful careers in Hollywood. The report originated in New York Magazine, and some fans were shocked to learn how many celebrities had famous parents.

Kate, who is the daughter of celebrities Goldie Hawn and Bill Hudson, was asked about the topic in a new interview and shared her thoughts on if it mattered who your parents were.

“The nepotism thing, I mean… I don’t really care,” she told the Independent.

“I look at my kids and we’re a storytelling family. It’s definitely in our blood. People can call it whatever they want, but it’s not going to change it,” she added, noting that she thought “there are other industries where it’s [more common].”

“I see it in business way more than I see it in Hollywood. Sometimes I’ve been in business meetings where I’m like, wait, whose child is this? Like, this person knows nothing,” Kate said.

Here’s her final verdict: “I don’t care where you come from, or what your relationship to the business is – if you work hard and you kill it, it doesn’t matter.”
