'Ginny & Georgia' Star Brianne Howey Dishes On That Shocking Season Two Finale

Brianne Howey is opening up about the season two finale of Ginny & Georgia in a new interview.

The 33-year-old actress, who plays Georgia in the series with Antonia Gentry as Ginny, spoke to E! Online about the shock of the ending of the newest season on the Netflix show.

During the final moments of the season two finale, Georgia was arrested in the middle of her wedding reception, for the murder of Cynthia Fuller’s husband, Tom, who had been on his death bed.

Tom’s murder was Georgia’s third victim, following the deaths of her two former, abusive partners.

“It’s pure shock,” she told E! after admitting she couldn’t stop crying over what happened.

Brianne added that “in Georgia’s V.O. (voiceover) she’s talking about how she’s too afraid to trust happiness. And she finally lets herself trust happiness a little bit and then the other shoe drops. I was bawling.”

She also opened up about Georgia’s life and the events that led to her arrest.

“I wouldn’t wish Georgia’s life and upbringing on anybody,” she shares. “And unfortunately, Georgia hasn’t had the tools to deal with all of this generational trauma and grief that she’s inherited, experienced and also passing on.”

As for what Cynthia did for Georgia in return for Tom’s fate, Brianne said that “Cynthia doing that was an enormous act of kindness and generosity and protection, and in Georgia’s mind, Cynthia protected her and now she wants to protect Cynthia and [her son] Zach from the pain and the grief that they are suffering very, very slowly through and that’s being dragged out. So she takes it upon herself to take that away from them.”
