Variety Senior Culture & Events Editor Marc Malkin took to Twitter to break the news that the pair had tested positive for COVID.

“Here we go again. Just confirmed that #colinfarrell and #brendongleeson won’t be at #CriticsChoiceAwards tomorrow because they have both tested positive for COVID,” he tweeted.

It is unclear where he got the news. However, Jamie Lee Curtis confirmed that she’d be missing several upcoming events after testing positive for the disease herself.

We’ll keep you updated if we hear more. If the report is true, we wish both Colin and Brendan well and hope they have a speedy recovery.
