Former 'The Crown' Star Helena Bonham Carter Reveals What She Thinks Of The Series Now

Helena Bonham Carter is sharing her current opinion on Netflix‘s The Crown.

The 56-year-old actress starred on the series as Princess Margaret, Countness of Snowden, during the third and fourth seasons. She shared the role with Vanessa Kirby and Lesley Manville.

Over the past few years, critics have been vocal about the show’s presentation of the British Royal Family and some are even insisting on a disclaimer ahead the episodes.

Helena was just one of the stars who weighed in on the debate.

Now though, she’s opening up about what she thinks of the show now since she’s departed it.

In an interview with The Guardian, Helena revealed that she did enjoy her time on the show, but does feel that The Crown has gotten out of touch.

“I’m in it and I loved my episodes, but it’s very different now,” she shared. “When The Crown started it was a historic drama, and now it’s crashed into the present. But that’s up to them.”

Then, when asked about the future of the series, Helena said that she “should be careful here” but “I don’t think they should carry on, actually.”

The upcoming sixth season of The Crown will be its last.
