SZA Explains Why She Turned Down 'Carpool Karaoke' (& Why She Might Change Her Mind)

The 33-year-old “Kill Bill” singer’s new album SOS has been at No. 1 for 10 weeks on the Billboard 200, resulting in tons of invites for the singer to perform on different TV shows.

In a new interview, SZA explained the reason why she turned down James Corden‘s popular series, Carpool Karaoke.

She said she rejected the previous offer to appear on the show because she was “scared of being on camera, looking bad, sounding bad and being perceived,” via Alternative Press.

However, she’s since had a change of heart.

“I really have to remind myself this is my moment in the sun, and I have to take every opportunity because this s–t may never happen again,” she said.
