Bruce Willis' Wife Emma Heming Calls Out Paparazzi to Keep Their Distance Following His Dementia Diagnosis

Emma Heming has a clear message for paparazzi over her husband, Bruce Willis.

In a new video posted to her Instagram account, Emma asked those paparazzi who have been following Bruce, and them together, to back off.

Bruce and his family made the announcement last year that he would be stepping back from his public life after struggling with aphasia, and now, with the newer diagnosis of frontotemporal dementia, it’s time for the cameras to be put away.

“If you are someone who is looking after someone with dementia, you know how difficult and stressful it can be to get someone out into the world and to navigate them safely, even just to get a cup of coffee,” Emma shared in the video, which she shared over the weekend.

She went on, saying that “It’s clear that there’s still a lot of education that needs to be put forth. So this one is going out to the photographers and video people that are trying to get those exclusives of my husband out and about. Just keep your space.”

“I know this is your job, but maybe just keep your space… Please don’t be yelling at my husband, asking how he’s doing, whatever. The woo-hooing and the yippee-ki-yay’s — just don’t do it,” Emma continued. “Give him the space. Allow for our family or whoever’s with him that day to be able to get him from Point A to Point B safely. That’s my PSA.”

In a statement made by the family at the time of his FTD diagnosis, Emma, Bruce‘s five daughters, and even ex-wife, Demi Moore asked everyone to respect both the actor, and them, as they navigated a new way of life.
