Comedian Eddie Izzard Reveals New Alternate Name During Podcast Interview

Eddie Izzard has revealed her brand new name in a podcast interview.

The 61-year-old British comedian and actor revealed during an appearance on Matt Forde’s Political Party podcast, that she’d added Suzy to their name.

While discussing her future political career, Eddie took the opportunity to re-introduce herself as Suzy.

“I’m Eddie. There’s another name I’m going to add in as well, which is Suzy, which is what I wanted to be since I was 10,” she shared, via The Independent. “I’m going to be Suzy Eddie Izzard.”

However, she added that you can still call her Eddie as well.

“People can choose what they want. They can’t make a mistake, they can’t go wrong,” she said.

As for pronouns, Suzy Eddie, who began using she/her pronouns in 2020, said that she “doesn’t mind” being referred to with he/him pronouns, but does “prefer[s] to see she/her….We’re [genders] all somewhere on the spectrum, we have just got to chill out about it.”
