Speaking with The Guardian, Molly shared that while she enjoyed Julia‘s performance in it, the story just wasn’t for her.

“Julia Roberts was wonderful in it, but I didn’t really like the story,” she shared. “Even then, I felt like there was something icky about it.”

In that same interview, Molly also revealed she had been turned away from roles in The Silence of the Lambs and Working Girl.

“I didn’t really feel like darker roles were available to me. The ones that I wanted to do, I didn’t get,” she adds. “I was too young for certain roles. I was at this weird in-between stage.”

In a separate interview, Julia explained why she hadn’t done a romantic comedy in over 20 years.
