Kesha Jumpstarts 'Gag Order' With Dual Singles 'Eat The Acid' & 'Fine Line,' Which Seemingly Addresses Dr. Luke - Listen & Read the Lyrics

Kesha is back with two new singles!

The 36-year-old “Praying” pop star is gearing up to unleash Gag Order – her first new album since 2020′s High Road. On Friday (April 28), she kicked the era into gear by unveiling dual singles “Eat the Acid” and “Fine Line.”

“Fine Line” seemingly alludes to her complicated legal situation with producer Dr. Luke, who she has accused of abuse and taken to court.

“There’s a fine live I’ve been walking / And trying to balance is exhausting / This is where you f-ckers pushed me / Don’t be surprised if s-it gets ugly.” Kesha sings on the opening lines of the track. She continues, referencing “all the doctors and lawyers” who “cut the tongue outta my mouth.”

“Eat the Acid” finds the musician singing about acid and finding spirituality over a haunting production.

Both songs feature a writing credit from Kesha‘s mom Pebe Sebert!

Gag Order arrives in full on May 19.

“I feel like I’m giving birth to the most intimate thing I’ve ever created…I really dug into some of my uglier emotions and sides of myself that are less fun. It’s scary being vulnerable. The fact that I have compiled an entire record of these emotions, of anger, of insecurity, of anxiety, of grief, of pain, of regret, all of that is so nerve-racking — but it’s also so healing,” Kesha recently told Rolling Stone about Gag Order.

We compiled all the highlights from the interview.
