Karl Lagerfeld's Cat Choupette Reacts to Star-Studded Tributes to Her at Met Gala 2023, Doesn't Mention One Celeb's Look

Karl Lagerfeld‘s iconic cat Choupette was on so many stars’ minds as they got dressed for the 2023 Met Gala earlier this week.

If you were unaware, the biggest night in fashion this year was themed around the designer’s artistry and impact. While plenty of attendees paid tribute to him directly, others dressed in looks inspired by Choupette.

For example, Jared Leto dressed up in a cat costume complete with a furry head. Doja Cat used prosthetics to nail a similar feline-inspired look, and Lil Nas X put a more conceptual spin on the tribute.

Choupette shouted out the tributes in a new post on social media. However, one of the above-mentioned stars didn’t make the cut.

“Do I have a twin somewhere,” the cat wrote alongside photos from the red carpet in a new post on Instagram. “I rate [Doja Cat] and [Jared Leto's] outfits 100/10.”

“What about you? How much would you rate them? Did you watch the met Gala,” she added, asking her fans for their thoughts.

Several fans took to the comments section to point out that Lil Nas X also paid tribute to Choupette. While his silver and pearl-studded look was more conceptual, the rapper gave an interview on the red carpet where he only responded by meowing, just like Doja.

Choupette also issued a statement letting fans know why she didn’t attend the Met Gala herself this year.
