Cate Blanchett Runs From 'New Boy' Photocall to a Red Carpet Premiere at Cannes 2023

Cate Blanchett is keeping busy while attending the 2023 Cannes Film Festival.

The 54-year-old Tar actress attended a photocall for her new movie The New Boy on Friday (May 19) at the Palais des Festivals in Cannes, France.

She was joined by her co-stars including Aswan Reid, Deborah Mailman and Wayne Blair as well as the movie’s director Warwick Thornton and producers Lorenzo De Maio, Coco Francini, Andrew Upton, Georgie Pym and Kath Shelper.

Afterward, Cate and her castmates pulled off a quick change and stopped by a red carpet premiere.

For the photocall, she opted for a striped shirt with matching pants, both of which were embellished with jeweled accents. Cate‘s premiere dress was black and white with bedazzled pockets and a train that trailed as she walked.

The star is fresh off her campaign leading up to the 2023 Oscars. She was nominated for Best Actress for her work on Tar.

She opened up about the movie in an interview earlier this year.
