Fetty Wap Will Spend 6 Years in Prison After Pleading Guilty to Federal Drug Conspiracy Charges

Fetty Wap was sentenced to six years in prison after pleading guilty to federal drug conspiracy charges.

The 31-year-old musician admitted to conspiracy to possess and distribute 500 grams or more of cocaine in August 2022. The charges came with a minimum sentence of five years in prison.

He received his sentence on Wednesday (May 24).

According to TMZ, the six-year sentence is more than Fetty asked the judge to give him when he pled guilty. However, it is less than the seven to nine year sentence that U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of New York Breon Peace recommended.

After serving his prison sentence, Fetty will have another five years of supervision.

It is not currently clear when the sentence will begin, and Fetty‘s team does not appear to have issued a response yet.
