& Juliet's Lorna Courtney Pulls Off an Epic Costume Change While Performing 'Roar' at Tony Awards 2023

Lorna Courtney switched up her look in the middle of her performance at the 2023 Tony Awards.

The & Juliet actress hopped onstage at the United Palace Theatre in New York City’s Washington Heights on Sunday night (June 11) to belt out her version of Katy Perry‘s “Roar.”

In the midst of the number, she executed a clever costume change, transforming from a gown that wouldn’t appear out of place in a stage show of Romeo & Juliet into something a little more modern.

Lorna belted out the lyrics to the uplifting song as a crew of dancers put on a show in front of her.

Going into the evening, & Juliet was up for nine awards. Lorna was up for Best Performance by a Leading Actress in a Musical, which went to Victoria Clark for Kimberly Akimbo.
