Daniel Radcliffe Makes First Comments About Being a New Dad To His Son With Erin Darke

Daniel Radcliffe is opening up about being a first-time dad.

The 33-year-old Miracle Workers star and his partner, Erin Darke, welcomed their first child in April, and Daniel revealed that it is a boy.

In a new interview, Daniel got candid about dad life, and admitted that it’s “crazy”.

While talking with Entertainment Tonight about the new season of Miracle Workers , Daniel revealed how life has been since becoming a first time dad.

“It’s great. It’s crazy and intense, but he’s wonderful and Erin is amazing — it’s a real privilege also to have this time with him,” he shared.

Daniel added that he’s on “paternity leave” too: “I was always going to take some time off, which not everyone is able to do, and so I’m able to kind of just be here with him a lot, which is lovely. So, we’re having a great time.”

He also opened up about how having a child is going to affect how much work he takes on in the future.

“It hasn’t really yet affected things, but I really like spending time with him, and I think I’m gonna miss him when I go back to work later in the year,” Daniel shared. “So, I will definitely be I think a bit more selective — not more selective, I’ve always been selective, but I think I’ll probably work a little bit less for the next few years.”

While he’ll be slowing things down, that doesn’t mean he’s stopping work altogether: “I’ll never be stopping. I don’t think that’s good for me either.”

Daniel is just the latest of the Harry Potter stars to welcome a baby. This other Harry Potter star also revealed that they’re expecting too!
