Jane Birkin Dead - Actress & Singer Passes Away at Age 76

Jane Birkin has sadly passed away.

The English musician, actress, and fashion icon died on Sunday, July 16, according to a report from Le Parisien. She was 76-years-old.

Jane‘s passing comes after she was forced to cancel several concerts back in May due to health concerns.

After growing up in London, Jane moved to Paris when she was 20 to work on the movie Slogan.

She fell in love with French actor and singer Serge Gainsbourg, whom she was with for 12 years, but never married.

Jane is the inspiration for Hermès iconic Birkin bag.

Jane is survived by her two daughters – Charlotte Gainsbourg and Lou Doillon. Her eldest daughter Kate Barry died in 2013.
