Taylor, 33, had been dropping hints throughout the entire show that 1989 will be next re-recording by wearing several new blue outfits – which is the official color from that era.

Taylor will be releasing 1989 (Taylor’s Version) on October 27 – exactly nine years after she debuted the first 1989 on October 27, 2014.

She also revealed that the re-recording will feature five new songs from the vault.

“Surprise!! 1989 (Taylor’s Version) is on its way to you 🔜! The 1989 album changed my life in countless ways, and it fills me with such excitement to announce that my version of it will be out October 27th,” Taylor wrote on Instagram. “To be perfectly honest, this is my most FAVORITE re-record I’ve ever done because the 5 From The Vault tracks are so insane. I can’t believe they were ever left behind. But not for long!”

The original 1989 won Album of the Year and Best Pop Vocal Album at the 58th Annual Grammy Awards.

1989 (Taylor’s Version) will also be released three months after she released Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) on July 7.

Once 1989 (Taylor’s Version) is released, the last two albums Taylor has left to re-record are her debut album Taylor Swift and Reputation.

If you missed, someone very unexpected was spotted at the show tonight!
