Sydney Sweeney Talks Motherhood, the Hobby She Wants to Bring to a Role & Her Hollywood Journey

Sydney Sweeney opened up about so much in a new interview with S Moda.

The 25-year-old Euphoria actress revealed the conversation that she had with her parents when she was about 10 years old about her dream of making it as an actress.

Now that she’s making her dreams come true, she touched on her hopes of becoming a mother and how her career in Hollywood might impact the timeline. Sydney also opened up about some of her surprising hobbies, including the one that she’d like to bring to a role at some point in the future.

Sydney said that she first discovered her passion for acting when she was three.

“I was already putting on plays for my grandparents at their house. I always liked playing, acting, letting my imagination run wild. And when I realized that this was real work, that was all I wanted to do. I don’t have to choose to be just one thing for the rest of my life, because as an actress I get to try many lives. It sounded amazing,” she explained.

Around the age of 10, she pitched her ambitions to her parents.

“I grew up in a small town, so I had no idea what Hollywood or LA was like, I just knew that I wanted to be on TV because of how amazing it must be,” she recalled. “My parents didn’t know anything about this world either, nor did we have any connection, they thought it was like I wanted to be a princess, that I wasn’t serious, but I changed their minds with a presentation explaining what I needed to do for the next five years.”

Her plans included “meeting casting directors, auditioning for short films, student films, or commercials.”

Of course, we all know that she was successful in making her dreams come true. Another dream that Sydney discussed in the interview was a personal one – becoming a mother. She previously wanted to be married and have a child by 22. What does she think about that now?

“There are just different times for everything,” she explained about her shifting goals. “I always want to give 150% in everything I do, be it acting, producing, being a friend, daughter or mother. I want to make sure that when the time comes I will give it my all. I have always dreamed of being a mother, since I was little, but I also want to be able to give everything to that boy or girl or whatever they want to be.”

Outside of acting, Sydney has a passion for working on cars and the martial arts. She expressed an interest in bringing the latter to a role since it’s difficult for her to pursue it as a passion on the side.

“I have not been able to practice them because most of my professional contracts do not allow me,” she said. “I hope I can play a character who fights.”

This isn’t the first time Sydney has discussed motherhood recently. She also addressed rumors about herself and co-star Glen Powell.
