Beyonce & Tina Knowles-Lawson Show Up in Houston to Celebrate Supportive Housing

Beyonce and Tina Knowles-Lawson are showing their hometown some love and celebrating the Knowles-Rowland house!

On Friday (September 22), the singer and her mother attended a kickoff event in Houston, Texas for the Knowles-Rowland House.

The structure is being redeveloped as housing for the homeless and people in need. A local nonprofit, Bread of Life, Inc., is spearheading the $8 million project.

Beyonce wore a snakeskin romper for the occasion, and Tina stunned in a white blazer.

Bread of Life’s director of partnerships and development Monique Williams gushed about Beyonce‘s support for the project. “That was exciting for all of us,” she said. “She’s a busy lady. She’s doing a couple of other things this weekend. For her to pause and just kind of return home and to be in this space with us and to hear again what more will be done and to see her legacy, I think it was wonderful for everyone to be in that space and share that with her.”

“Whoever expects Beyonce to be anywhere?” She continued. “Everything’s always a surprise. I think it was wonderful for everybody to be able to really kind of see her commitment to our work.”

Beyonce and her husband, Jay-Z, were recently spotted grabbing dinner with some famous friends!
