Sofia Carson is speaking out about some of the backlash to her new Netflix movie, Purple Hearts.

The new movie, which debuted earlier this month on the streamer, has been getting a lot of love from fans – and also been called out by some too.

If you don’t know, Purple Hearts follows Cassie, a struggling singer-songwriter, and Luke, a troubled marine, who in spite of having many differences, agree to marry solely for military benefits. But when tragedy strikes, the line between real and pretend begins to blur.
