One big question that Ben Affleck was clearly going to face at the Justice League panel during 2017 Comic-Con was about the rumors he’s leaving the role of Batman.

Earlier this week, a report surfaced that Warner Bros. is setting the stage for a new actor to play the caped crusader.

“Let me be very clear,” Ben said on the panel (via THR). “I am the luckiest guy in the world. Batman is the coolest part in the universe. I’m so thrilled to do it. It’s f–king amazing.”

Ben also addressed the upcoming The Batman standalone movie being developed by War for the Planet of the Apes director Matt Reeves. Ben was originally slated to write and direct the film, but dropped out of those roles.

“I would be an ape on the ground for Matt Reeves!” he said.

It’s official – Wonder Woman 2 is definitely happening!

Gal Gadot was at the Warner Bros. panel held during 2017 Comic-Con on Saturday (July 22), where the news was confirmed.

A sequel to the smash hit superhero movie, featuring Gal as Diana Prince, was pretty much a no brainer after the film out grossed all of the other DC Comics Extended Universe movies released thus far.

Patty Jenkins is expected to direct the movie and she has already teased some ideas for the film.

“The story will take place in the U.S., which I think is right,” she previously told EW. “She’s Wonder Woman. She’s got to come to America. It’s time… I realized that Wonder Woman 2 is its own great movie. I made Wonder Woman. Now I want to make Wonder Woman 2. It’s a beautiful story to tell, an important time to tell it and with people that I love.”

The co-stars were joined at the event by T.J. Miller, Ben Mendelsohn, director Steven Spielberg, and author Ernie Cline.

The futuristic movie features such 80s icons as The Iron Giant, Freddie Krueger, and the DeLorean from Back to the Future. You can see them all in the first footage from the film, which debuted during the panel.

“What made me want to tell the story more than anything else, was the kind of world 2045 gives to people, which is so dystopian,” Steven said during the panel (via THR). “People are leaving the country and all of a sudden virtual reality gives you a choice, gives you another world to exist in. And you can do anything in that world. Anything you can possibly imagine … that interaction between real life and virtual life, by the third act of this movie is virtual non-existant.”

The cast of The Lego Ninjago Movie debuted a new trailer for the upcoming animated film during the appearance!

In this big-screen Ninjago adventure, the battle for Ninjago City calls to action young Master Builder Lloyd (Franco), aka the Green Ninja, along with his friends, who are all secret ninja warriors. Led by Master Wu (Jackie Chan), as wise-cracking as he is wise, they must defeat evil warlord Garmadon (Theroux), The Worst Guy Ever, who also happens to be Lloyd’s dad. Pitting mech against mech and father against son, the epic showdown will test this fierce but undisciplined team of modern-day ninjas who must learn to check their egos and pull together to unleash their inner power of Spinjitzu.

The Lego Ninjago Movie hits theaters on September 22!

The cast of Justice League will be joining forces at 2017 Comic-Con today (July 22) and Gal Gadot shared a selfie of the cast boarding their private plane en route to San Diego!

“Ready or not here we come…🤘🏼😏😆,” Gal captioned the photo, which also features co-stars Ben Affleck, Ray Fisher, and Ezra Miller.

Noticeably absent from the photo are Jason Momoa, who plays Aquaman, and Henry Cavill, who play Superman. We hope to see them at the panel!

Other Warner Bros. films being represented on the panel this year are Ready Player One, Blade Runner 2049, and Aquaman.

James Van Der Beek sits on a bus while partying it up at 2017 Comic-Con on Friday (July 21) in San Diego, Calif.

The 40-year-old actor is at the convention in celebration of his upcoming Viceland scripted comedy series What Would Diplo Do?, which will premiere on August 3. The party bus is open to the public every day of the convention and special guests are expected to stop by.

Later that night, James was joined by his wife Kimberly to attend the launch of the new series. James plays “a fictional version of international DJ/producer/music superstar Diplo in a show about life as seen through the eyes of guy who can bring 60,000 people to their feet… but kind of sucks one-on-one.”
