Leonardo DiCaprio Remembers 'Growing Pains' Co-Star Alan Thicke

Leonardo DiCaprio has just posted a tribute to Alan Thicke, who he worked with on Growing Pains.

The 42-year-old actor wrote, “Alan was a devoted father, husband, friend and role model. He knew how to harness the power of the entertainment industry to be a positive influence in so many lives – including mine.”

“I will be forever grateful for the opportunity I had to work with Alan early in my career. He had tremendous class, a huge heart, and he taught me and so many others the valuable lessons about humility and gratitude,” Leonardo continued.

Leonardo was brought in towards the end of the Growing Pains run, which ended in 1992.

Alan passed away from a heart attack on Tuesday (December 13) at the age of 69.

This Is Us' Justin Hartley Writes Message About Alan Thicke After Death

Alan Thicke had a cameo role in the first episode of NBC’s This Is Us, and his co-star in the ep, Justin Hartley, is reacting to his tragic death.

“When you meet one of your idols and they are even nicer and cooler than you hoped they would be. That was @Alan_Thicke. Rest in peace,” Justin wrote on Twitter, along with a selfie of the two of them together.

Alan passed away on Tuesday (December 13) while playing hockey with his 19-year-old son Carter. He died from an apparent heart attack.

Growing Pains' Kirk Cameron Remembers TV Dad Alan Thicke

Kirk Cameron, who starred with Alan Thicke on Growing Pains, released a statement about his tragic death.

“I spent Monday through Friday for seven important years with Alan Thicke as my “TV dad.” I’m shocked and truly heartbroken today at the news of his death. Alan was a generous, kind and loving man. I am so blessed to have grown up with him. Chelsea and I send our love and prayers to his family tonight. We will cherish the memories… ‘sharing the laughter and love,’” Kirk wrote on Instagram.

Growing Pains was a beloved sitcom that ran from 1985-1992. Alan played the role of Jason Seaver on the show, and reprise the role on two separate TV movies in the 2000s.

Alan passed away on Tuesday (December 13) after suffering a heart attack during while playing hockey with his 19-year-old son Carter.

Robin Thicke Releases Statement on Dad Alan's Shocking Death

Alan Thicke passed away on Tuesday (December 13) and now his son Robin Thicke has released a statement about his loss.

The 39-year-old singer took to his Instagram account to share a tribute to his late father.

“My father passed away today. He was the best man I ever knew. The best friend I ever had. Let’s all rejoice and celebrate the joy he brought to every room he was in. We love you Alan Thicke. Thank you for your love. Love, your grateful son,” he wrote.

Shortly after his father’s untimely death, Robin gave a quick interview to confirm the loss and share some quick thoughts on the upsetting news.

While Alan Thicke was mostly known for his acting work, something you might not know is that the late star was also a television theme song composer.

While he didn’t write the theme song for his hit show Growing Pains, he did write the themes for Diff’rent Strokes, The Facts of Life, Wheel of Fortune, and more.

Alan, whose son Robin Thicke grew up to have a successful music career, passed away on Tuesday (December 13) after suffering a heart attack at the age of 69.

Tons of celebrities have spoken out to remember the legendary actor and Robin has also remembered his late father with some touching words.

Carter Thicke Pays Tribute to Dad Alan: 'Today I Lost My Best Friend'

Carter Thicke has taken to his Instagram account to pay tribute to his late father, the beloved actor Alan Thicke.

The 19-year-old was playing a game of hockey with Alan on Tuesday (December 13) when the actor suffered a heart attack. He was pronounced dead at the hospital.

“Today I lost my best friend and my idol, and the world lost one of it’s finest,” Carter captioned a photo of him with his dad.

Robin Thicke has also spoken out about the shocking loss as well.
