'American Idol' 2023: Celebrity Guest Mentors Revealed for Season 21

American Idol‘s 21st season is premiering this weekend and ABC has revealed the celebrity guest mentors who will assist the contestants.

Katy Perry, Luke Bryan, and Lionel Richie are all back for their sixth season as judges of the long-running singing competition show. This is also the sixth season that will air on ABC.

The first episode will air on Sunday (February 19) at 8/7c with new episodes each week.

The Idol team took a trip to Hawaii this past week to film the Top 24 round at the Aulani resort. While in Hawaii, there were two guest mentors who assisted the contestants.

'American Song Contest' Finale: Allen Stone Not Performing Live Due to Personal Reasons

Allen Stone, one of the few contestants on American Song Contest who are already famous performers, will not be singing live on the show’s finale.

The 35-year-old soul and R&B singer, who is best known for his songs “Unaware” and “Brown Eyed Lover,” is having his rehearsal performance aired on the finale as he is unable to attend the live taping.

Bebe Rexha, Luis Fonsi, Toni Braxton & More to Perform With 'American Idol' Finalists!

American Idol is ensuring that this upcoming reboot of the franchise will be star-studded!

The show is enlisting several performers to duet with the finalists who make the Top 24, according to Variety.

The artists set to appear include Luis Fonsi, Bebe Rexha, Cam, Toni Braxton, Train‘s Pat Monahan, Andy Grammer, Lea Michele and Allen Stone.

And that’s not all! More artists will be confirmed, bringing the total number to 12. Each artist will sing with two contestants, according to the report.

The winners and finalists of the ABC reboot will release their music through Hollywood Records, which is the first time the label’s been paired with the show.

American Idol will premiere on March 11.
