The Broadway musical Bad Cinderella has announced its closing date.
The new musical, featuring music by Andrew Lloyd Webber, will shut down on Sunday, June 4 at the Imperial Theater in New York City.
Lloyd Webber has had a show running on Broadway consecutively for the last 43 years and June 5 will mark the first day without one since Evita opened in 1979. His classic musical The Phantom of the Opera closed last month after more than three decades.

The new Broadway musical Bad Cinderella opened last week and didn’t get the best reviews from critics, but there are fans (including Real Housewives star Bethenny Frankel) who are loving the show!
Broadway shows usually pull quotes from reviews to use in ads and instead of using critics reviews, the team behind Bad Cinderella is perfectly putting Bethenny‘s review to good use.
In a new video posted to their Twitter account, the Bad Cinderella team took The New York Times‘ negative review and spray-painted over it to highlight Bethenny‘s comments instead.

The first look at the new Broadway musical Bad Cinderella has been released ahead of tonight’s first preview performance!
Linedy Genao is taking on the title role in Andrew Lloyd Webber‘s new musical, which will play at the Imperial Theatre in New York City.
The new version of Cinderella premiered on London’s West End in 2021 and it features a book by Academy Award winner Emerald Fennell and lyrics by Tony winner David Zippel, in addition to music by Lloyd Webber.

Bad Cinderella will debut at the Imperial Theatre in February 2023 with newcomer Linedy Genao in the lead role.
