Leonardo DiCaprio & Brad Pitt Step Out For Oscars Nominee Luncheon

Leonardo DiCaprio and Brad Pitt step out for the annual luncheon in celebration of the 92nd Oscars in Hollywood on Monday afternoon (January 27).

The two nominated actors were joined by their Once Upon a Time in Hollywood director, Quentin Tarantino.

Other stars and directors in attendance were The Two PopesJonathan Pryce, The Irishman‘s Robert De Niro, Parasite‘s Bong Joon-Ho, Joker‘s Todd Phillips, and Jojo Rabbit‘s Taika Waititi.

1917‘s Sam Mendes, Dean-Charles Chapman, and George Mackay were also spotted inside the venue with Knives Out‘s Rian Johnson.

The 2020 Oscars will take place on Sunday, February 9.

Sam Mendes Wins Best Director at DGA Awards 2020, '1917' Stars Step Out to Support Him

Sam Mendes poses with the stars of his movie 1917George MacKay and Dean-Charles Chapman – while attending the 2020 Directors Guild of America Awards on Saturday (January 25) at the Ritz Carlton in Los Angeles.

The 54-year-old filmmaker won the Best Director award for his work on the WWI movie 1917. The film is nominated for Best Picture and Best Director at the Oscars, so this will be a big help in securing the film wins there as well.

The other Best Director nominees at the DGA Awards were Parasite‘s Bong Joon Ho, The Irishman‘s Martin Scorsese, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood‘s Quentin Tarantino, and Jojo Rabbit‘s Taika Waititi.

Sam won the DGA Award for his first movie American Beauty twenty years ago. During his acceptance speech he said, “I didn’t feel like I knew what I was doing. I feel a little more that I do now.”

'1917' Is Making Way More Than Expected at the Box Office!

After three weeks at number one at the domestic box office, Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker will be dethroned this weekend by the new war drama 1917.

The Golden Globe-winning movie is on track to gross $37.2 million for its wide opening weekend, according to Deadline.

This number is way more than box office experts originally expected. Before the Golden Globes, the movie was tracking to do $20 million for its wide opening and that was bumped up to $25 million on the Monday after the awards show.

The movie, starring George Mackay and Dean-Charles Chapman, earned an A- CinemaScore, so it definitely will have some great word of mouth for the next couple months.

Sam Mendes won the Best Director award at the Golden Globes and the movie won Best Picture.

1917 and Once Upon a Time in Hollywood were the top movies of the night at the 2020 Golden Globes!

The two movies won the top two prizes of the night at the event on Sunday (January 5) at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, Calif.

1917 won for Best Motion Picture – Drama and Best Director for Sam Mendes.

Once Upon a Time in Hollywood won for Best Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy, Best Supporting Actor for Brad Pitt, and Best Screenplay for Quentin Tarantino.

Joining Sam on stage to accept Best Picture were the stars of 1917, Dean-Charles Chapman and George Mackay.

The Stars of '1917' Hit the Pre-Globes Party Circuit on Saturday!

Dean-Charles Chapman and George Mackay pose for photos together at the Vanity Fair, Amazon Studios, and Audi Pre-Golden Globes Celebration on Saturday (January 4) at the San Vicente Bungalows in West Hollywood, Calif.

The young stars of the new movie 1917 were joined by their co-star Andrew Scott, who is Golden Globe-nominated for another project.

Andrew is nominated for his work in Fleabag and his co-star Sian Clifford was also at the party.

George MacKay Joins '1917' Co-Star Dean-Charles Chapman at the BAFTA Tea Party

George MacKay and Dean-Charles Chapman buddy up on the red carpet at the BAFTA Los Angeles Tea Party on Saturday afternoon (January 4) at the Four Seasons Hotel in Los Angeles.

The 1917 both looked sharp in suits as they attended the pre-Golden Globes event.
