'Despicable Me 3' Wins Box Office Weekend, 'Baby Driver' Debuts Strong

Despicable Me 3 was victorious at the box office this weekend, raking in $75.4 million for its opening frame.

The animated movie opened in 4,529 theaters, the widest opening for a movie ever. The film, featuring the voices of Steve Carell and Kristen Wiig, is expected to make a lot more money for the next two days of the July 4th holiday weekend.

Baby Driver, starring Ansel Elgort, had a strong opening weekend with $21 million. It’s total stands at $30 million when you include Wednesday and Thursday’s grosses.

Rounding out the top five were Transformers: The Last Knight with $17 million, Wonder Woman with $16.1 million, and Cars 3 with $9.5 million.

Amy Poehler and Will Ferrell‘s The House had a disappointing start with just $9 million for a sixth place finish.

Is There a 'Despicable Me 3' End Credits Scene?

Fans of the Despicable Me franchise will be lining up to see the third movie in the installment this weekend – but many want to know if there will be a scene after the credits.

Well, no need to stay until the end of the credits because there is no scene after they roll.

Steve Carell is returning as the voice of Gru and he is also voicing the twin Dru. Kristen Wiig, Miranda Cosgrove, Steve Coogan, Jenny Slate, and Julie Andrews also lend their voices in the animated film. Check it out, in theaters at midnight!

Gru Meets His Twin Brother in 'Despicable Me 3' Trailer!

The new trailer for Despicable Me 3 has been released and it features the lovable character Gru meeting his long-lost twin brother Dru for the first time!

Steve Carell is returning as the voice of Gru and he is also voicing the twin Dru.

South Park‘s Trey Parker joined the voice cast of the movie as villain Balthazar Bratt, a former child star who’s grown up to become obsessed with the character he played in the ’80s, and proves to be Gru’s most formidable nemesis to date.

Despicable Me 3, also featuring the voices of Kristen Wiig, Miranda Cosgrove, Steve Coogan, Jenny Slate, and Julie Andrews, hits theaters on June 30.

Despicable Me 3 is back with the first trailer for the film’s third installment!

Gru, Lucy, and the Minions are ready to fight their latest enemy, former ’80s child star Balthazar Bratt.

Balthazar is out for revenge and world domination after his TV show got canceled when he hit puberty.

In the hilarious trailer, Balthazar uses 80s-themed tactics to steal a giant jewel and it all ends in a dance-off with Gru!

Despicable Me 3 is set to hit theaters on June 30th.
