The concept of the Song of the Summer has become omnipresent in recent years, but Billboard has been tracking the data since 1958.

As the weather heats up outside, many of our favorite artists begin to churn out bops and bangers that rocket up the charts. Each year, only one of them can become the defining anthem of the summer.

Billboard unveiled the Song of the Summer for 2023 on Tuesday (September 5). This year Morgan Wallen‘s “Last Night” took the top spot.

In honor of the announcement, we looked back on Billboard’s charts to determine what song dominated the charts each summer from 2003 until 2023. We even noted the bop that came in second place each year! In the case of 2023, we rounded up the Top 5.

While looking back, we noticed that only three artists in the last 21 years were able to claim the Song of the Summer more than once. Can you guess who?

Drake was feeling extra generous over the weekend.

During his concert over the weekend in Las Vegas, the 36-year-old musician went above and beyond after catching one sign a fan had brought to the It’s All A Blur Tour stop.

In a video captured at the concert, via kazzychase on TikTok, Drake gifted $50,000 to the fan!

Drake‘s son Adonis is a graphic designer already!

The 5-year-old son of the 36-year-old rap superstar designed the cover for his dad’s upcoming album, For All The Dogs, Drake confirmed.

“FOR ALL THE DOGS,” he captioned a post on Instagram on Monday (August 21).

“Cover by Adonis,” he added. The album is set to be released on Friday (August 25).

The 36-year-old “One Dance” star hit up The Bird Streets Club on Wednesday night (August 16) in West Hollywood, Calif.

He delivered a cool look in a pair of camouflage pants, which he paired with a denim jacket and white t-shirt. It appears that Drake finished off the outfit by pulling his hair back and tying off two buns with pink ribbons.

Here’s some backstory, if you don’t know: the 36-year-old “One Dance” superstar recently made an appearance on the 26-year-old YouTuber and podcast star’s podcast, The Really Good Podcast.
