Elisabeth Moss is opening up about not being able to star as Rose in The Power of the Dog, the role she was originally set to play before Kirsten Dunst took over the part.

The upcoming show centers on Kirby Mazrachi, a Chicago newspaper archivist, whose journalistic ambitions were put on hold after enduring a traumatic assault. When Kirby learns that a recent murder mirrors her own case, she partners with seasoned-yet-troubled reporter Dan Velazquez (Wagner Moura) to uncover her attacker’s identity.
As Kirby and Dan come to realize that these cold cases are inextricably linked, their own personal traumas allow the serial assailant to remain one step ahead.
According to Deadline, the 39-year-old actress is set to star as Candy Montgomery, who murdered her church friend with an ax, in Hulu‘s upcoming true crime drama series.
