GLAAD Media Awards 2023 - Full Nominees List Revealed!

The 2023 GLAAD Media Awards are coming!

GLAAD, the world’s largest lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ) media advocacy organization, announced the nominees for the 34th Annual GLAAD Media Awards on Wednesday (January 18).

RuPaul’s Drag Race stars Salina EsTitties and Sasha Colby announced nominees in a “GLAAD Drag Story Time” video.

“Performers like us are being threatened with anti-LGBTQ bills, nasty protests, and even violence. You know what’s scary? People with guns, not queens with books!” Sasha says in the clip.

The GLAAD Media Awards honor media for fair, accurate, and inclusive representations of LGBTQ people and issues.

Beyonce & Jay-Z Emotionally Speak Out for LGBTQ Acceptance at GLAAD Media Awards 2019 - Watch!

Beyoncé and Jay-Z are speaking out in support of the LGBTQ community.

The superstar couple accepted the Vanguard Award at the 30th annual GLAAD Media Awards at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on Thursday night (March 28) in Los Angeles.

The Vanguard Award is presented to allies who have made a significant difference in promoting acceptance of LGBTQ people.

“I want to dedicate this award to my uncle Johnny, the most fabulous gay man I’ve ever known, who helped raise me and my sister,” Beyonce emotionally announced.

“He lived his truth. He was brave and unapologetic during a time when this country wasn’t as accepting. And witnessing his battle with HIV was one of the most painful experiences I’ve ever lived. I’m hopeful that his struggle served to open pathways for other young people to live more freely. LGBTQI rights are human rights.”

Beyonce and Jay-Z are receiving a major honor!

The superstar pair are set to be honored with the Vanguard Award at the 2019 GLAAD Media Awards, which is being held in Los Angeles on Thursday, March 28th.

The annual show honors media for fair, accurate, and inclusive representations of LGBTQ people and issues. The Vanguard Award is presented to allies who have made a significant difference in promoting acceptance of LGBTQ people.

“Beyoncé and Jay- Z are global icons and passionate defenders of human rights and acceptance for all people,” said GLAAD President and CEO Sarah Kate Ellis. “When Beyoncé and Jay-Z speak, the world becomes inspired and when it comes to LGBTQ people, their voices of acceptance have been heard loud and clear. We could not be prouder to stand with them to send a message of love during the biggest LGBTQ event in the world and to honor their work to bend the arc of justice forward for LGBTQ people, people of color, and marginalized communities everywhere.”

The nominations for the 2019 GLAAD Media Awards are in!

The annual show, which honors media for fair, accurate, and inclusive representations of LGBTQ people and issues, revealed the nominee list on Friday (January 25).

Musical acts like Kim Petras, Janelle Monae, Troye Sivan, Brockhampton and Hayley Kiyoko are all up for awards this year, as well as films like Love, Simon, Crazy Rich Asians and Deadpool 2.

The 2019 GLAAD Media Awards will be held in Los Angeles on Thursday, March 28th, and in New York on Saturday, May 4th.
