Jeffrey Epstein's Cause of Death Revealed

The official results of Jeffrey Epstein‘s death have been revealed.

The disgraced financier, who was indicted on federal sex trafficking charges, died as the result of suicide by hanging, the city’s medical examiner’s office reported on Friday (August 16).

Jeffrey was found dead on Saturday (August 10) at the age of 66 in his cell at the Metropolitan Correctional Center in New York City.

He “appeared to have tied a bedsheet to the top of a set of bunk beds, then knelt toward the floor with enough force that he broke several bones in his neck,” according to officials.

He previously reportedly attempted to kill himself in late July while awaiting trial. He was taken off suicide watch days before his death.

Jeffrey Epstein's Autopsy Reveals Neck Bone Breaks (Report)

Jeffrey Epstein‘s autopsy reveals that the disgraced financier indicted on sex trafficking charges sustained multiple neck bone breaks, according to a report by the Washington Post on Thursday (August 15).

One of the bones broken was reportedly the hyoid bone, near the Adam’s apple in men. Experts have said that while the bone has been known to break during a hanging, it is more common in victims of strangulation.

His cause of death is currently listed as “pending” after the autopsy on Sunday (August 11).

Conspiracy theories have run rampant ever since Jeffrey‘s death. He was found hanging in his prison cell at the Metropolitan Correctional Center on Saturday (August 10) in New York City.

Palace Responds to Sexual Misconduct Allegations Against Prince Andrew From Inside Jeffrey Epstein's Apartment

Prince Andrew, the second-born son of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip, was named in court papers released last week in connection to his relationship with Jeffrey Epstein.

If you don’t know, Epstein allegedly died by suicide in his jail cell over the weekend. Epstein had charges relating to sex trafficking of minor girls at his homes in New York and Florida.

A day before his death, several court documents were released and one of those court documents mentions Prince Andrew. In a 2016 deposition, a woman named Johanna Sjoberg claimed that Prince Andrew touched her breast in 2001 at Epstein‘s Manhattan apartment.

Buckingham Palace told NBC in a statement, “This relates to proceedings in the United States, to which The Duke of York is not a party. Any suggestion of impropriety with underage minors is categorically untrue.”

Jeffrey Epstein Dead - Financier Indicted on Sex Trafficking Charges Commits Suicide in Jail

Jeffrey Epstein has died after taking his own life at a Manhattan jail.

The 66-year-old financier, who was indicted on sex trafficking charges last month, hanged himself in his jail cell, according to the New York Times.

Epstein‘s body was found at roughly 7:30am on Saturday morning (August 10) at the Metropolitan Correctional Center in New York City.

The charges that Epstein faces, for the alleged sex trafficking of minor girls at his homes in New York and Florida, date back to the early 2000s. He pleaded not guilty to the charges and faced 45 years in prison if convicted. After he was denied bail last month, he was found unresponsive in his jail cell with marks on his neck after an apparent suicide attempt. Epstein was set to face trial next year.

Epstein was a millionaire and acquaintance of stars and politicians including Donald Trump and Bill Clinton. Even after serving jail time in the 2000s, he maintained his connections in the financial world.

Jeffrey Epstein Found Injured on Jail Cell Floor, Possible Suicide Attempt or Assault (Report)

Jeffrey Epstein was found injured on the floor of a prison cell on Wednesday (July 24).

The 66-year-old financier and acquaintance of stars and politicians including Donald Trump and Bill Clinton, who was accused of sex trafficking involving underage girls and arrested on charges in early July, was found on the floor of his cell in Manhattan’s Metropolitan Correction Center.

He was discovered in the fetal position, semi-conscious with marks on his neck according to NBC News.

Sources say he may have tried to hang himself, while other sources claim the injuries were not serious, and were possibly done on purpose to obtain a transfer from jail. An assault is also reportedly being considered.

The Daily Beast reported that he was moved to solitary custody to protect him from inmates threatening him with injury.

His trial date has not yet been set.
