Even more updates about the cast of Criminal Minds: Evolution are being shared, including an exciting addition to the cast, an actor being promoted, and a shocking exit.

Season one of the revival show debuted in November 2022 and the season finished airing back in February. Paget Brewster confirmed on Twitter that the second season began filming in January.

The new series follows “the FBI’s elite team of criminal profilers [as they] come up against their greatest threat yet, an UnSub who has used the pandemic to build a network of other serial killers. As the world opens back up and the network goes operational, the team must hunt them down, one murder at a time.”

Six beloved actors returned for the revival, two fan-fave stars did not come back, and one popular actor was added to the show.

One of those actors who didn’t return has hinted he may come back for season two though. There’s also an actor who announced his exit!

A Criminal Minds exit has just been confirmed.

If you don’t know Criminal Minds: Evolution will get a second season on Paramount+, and we are now aware that Josh Stewart, who played detective William LaMontagne Jr. since season 2 of the CBS drama, is not coming back. He confirmed the news on social media.

The 52-year-old actress was joined at the event by her co-stars Matthias Schoenaerts, Gideon Adlon, Jason Mitchell, Thomas Smittle and Josh Stewart, as well as director Laure de Clermont-Tonnerre.

The Mustang tells the story of Roman Coleman (Matthias), a convict in a prison in rural Nevada, participates in a rehabilitation program in which he trains wild mustangs. He struggles to connect with the horses and his fellow inmates alike. But in time, working alongside young convict Henry (Jason) and an old trainer Myles (Bruce Dern), Roman soothes an especially feisty horse and confronts his own violent past.

Jon Bernthal and Ben Barnes are celebrating the premiere of The Punisher‘s second season!

The co-stars hit the red carpet at the event on Monday night (January 14) at ArcLight Hollywood in Los Angeles.

They were joined by the rest of the cast including Giorgia Whigham, Josh Stewart, Royce Johnson, Amber Rose Revah, Jason R. Moore, Floriana Lima and Deborah Ann Woll.

The upcoming season is set to follow Frank Castle, who has been living a quiet life on the road, until he suddenly becomes embroiled in the attempted murder of a young girl.

As he is drawn into the mystery surrounding her and those in pursuit of the information she holds, Frank attracts a new target on his back as new and old enemies force him to confront whether he should accept his destiny and embrace a life as The Punisher.
