Lena Dunham Finally Addresses That Awkward Brad Pitt Kissing Photo

Lena Dunham is finally addressing those photos of her and Brad Pitt that went viral last year.

In the photos, it appears as if Lena is planting a kiss on Brad, who did not reciprocate, while they were at the Once Upon a Time in Hollywood premiere in August of 2019 in London.

“I don’t know if you remember there was a sort of awkward photo taken of the two of us,” Lena said during an appearance on Watch What Happens Live!. “Well, the way the internet read it was I had somehow physically accosted him causing him a great deal of stress…I would never force a kiss on Brad Pitt. I respect him far too much as an artist and a friend. Later that night because he knew I felt nervous, he took me into a room and we secretly ate pizza and I told him I like his ring and he gave it to me.”

She added, “And I wear it and every time I wear it, something amazing happens.”

“He’s a truly kind person who can read the room,” Lena also said about Brad. “And I was super nervous because I was around so many idols of mine and he made me feel pretty cool.”

Lena Dunham is Writing An Interactive Romance Novel During Quarantine

Lena Dunham has opened up about her plans during quarantine and revealed that she’s actually writing a romance novel.

But, not just any romance novel – an interactive one.

“I know it can get a little stir-crazy, and I think the best way to keep community is through shared storytelling,” Lena, 33, shared in an Instagram post.

The serialized novel will be called “Verified Strangers” and follows Ally, a frustrated singleton who navigates the dating scene in Los Angeles. A new chapter is expected to debut on Vogue every Tuesday and Friday.

“A romance novel is the pulpiest and most distracting fun you can have and a medium I’ve long wanted to work in (probably since I stole ‘Forever’ by Judy Blume out of my babysitter’s backpack; it’s not Danielle Steele, but it was the sexiest thing I’d ever read.),” Lena told the magazine.

She added, “So let’s create one together. I’ll write, but you’ll be able to vote and your vote counts. Together let’s try and urge Ally toward the right lover — and connect to each other in the process.”

Lena Dunham Opens Up About Hair Growth After It Was Falling Out From Autoimmune Disease

Lena Dunham is celebrating her hair, and the deeper meaning behind her hair’s growth.

The Girls alum posted an update on social media on Sunday (February 23).

“2 and a half years ago, I shaved my head. Not in a fun sassy way but in a ‘my hair is falling out from my autoimmune disease, better rush to the nearest barber shop and pay them 7 bucks to do this’ way,” she wrote.

“Let me just say, bald is f–king beautiful, and it’s a full myth that ladies are meant to have luscious hair…but my hair growing has been a living metaphor these last few years – all I did was leave it alone and something I had lost all of came back to be. I’ll carry that knowledge forward and then, you know what? I’ll probably shave my head again. Just for fun, this time.”

If you didn’t know, Lena has been very candid about her illness over the past few years – including when she spoke out about why she was spotted walking with a cane.

Lena Dunham Says Joaquin Phoenix's Oscars 2020 Speech Made Her Vegan

Joaquin Phoenix made an impassioned acceptance speech at the 2020 Oscars last night where he spoke about a wide range of topics including veganism, social justice, and more.

In his speech, Joaquin said, “We feel entitled to artificially inseminate a cow and when she gives birth, we steal her baby. Even though her cries of anguish are unmistakable. And then we take her milk that’s intended for her calf and we put it in our coffee and our cereal. And I think we fear the idea of personal change because we think that we have to sacrifice something to give something up but human beings, at our best, are so inventive and creative and ingenious, and I think that when we use love and compassion as our guiding principles, we can create, develop, and implement systems of change that are beneficial to all sentient beings and to the environment.”

Lena Dunham took to Twitter after watching Joaquin‘s speech and tweeted, “Welp, it finally happened- I do believe Joaquin Phoenix made me vegan.”

Find out which celebs used to be vegan and actually quit for a variety of reasons.

Lena Dunham Calls The Past Year 'Complex' In Year End Instagram

Lena Dunham is revealing all the lessons she’s learned in a new Instagram post while gearing up for 2020.

The 33-year-old entertainer shared a pic of herself in her underwear for the post, sharing with fans that “this year has been complex and awesome and awesomely complex.”

Lena continues, “It’s been the best professional year of my life – not because I’m on a million magazine covers or making gossip waves but because I’m quietly doing what I love with people I love who also love doing it.”

Here are just some of the lessons she’s learned over the years: “go slower than you think you should because it ultimately adds up to more, you don’t have to push you can just move ahead with passion, people will come and go and surprise you and often their rejection is God’s protection (it also sometimes has nothing to do with you), and sometimes you heal slowly and then all at once.”

Ruth Wilson's Exit From 'The Affair' Explained in Bombshell Report

Shocking allegations are coming to light about why Ruth Wilson really left the hit Showtime show The Affair after winning a Golden Globe for her work in the drama back in 2015.

Last summer, Ruth shocked everyone when she announced she was leaving the show before the fifth and final season, but could not say why. She presumably has a non disclosure agreement in place with the network.

Now, THR is revealing that she left the show due to “ongoing frustrations with the nudity required of her,” and “what she ultimately felt was a hostile work environment,’ among issues with the showrunner, Sarah Treem.

“There was a culture problem at the show from the very beginning and a tone-deafness from Sarah Treem about recognizing the position she was putting actors in,” a source said. “Over and over again, I witnessed Sarah Treem try to cajole actors to get naked even if they were uncomfortable or not contractually obligated to.”

“I would never say those things to an actor. That’s not who I am. I am not a manipulative person, and I’ve always been a feminist,” Sarah said in response to the allegations. “I have devoted my entire professional life to writing about and speaking to women’s issues, women’s causes, women’s empowerment and creating strong, complex roles for women in theater and in Hollywood, on- and offscreen. It’s what I think about, what I care about, it’s what drives my life and work. The reason I even created The Affair was to illuminate how the female experience of moving through the world is so different from the male one, it’s like speaking a second language. The idea that I would ever cultivate an unsafe environment or harass a woman on one of my shows is utterly ridiculous and lacks a grounding in reality.”

Apparently men on set would also say things to women like “Everyone is waiting for you,” or “You look beautiful…It’s things you would think would be coming out of a man’s mouth from the 1950s. The environment was very toxic.” In addition, while filming scenes that required being in the buff, “There sometimes were people there who didn’t need to be, or the monitor was in plain view.”

There were specific instances that made Ruth uncomfortable, like one sex scene that was “rapey,” said one source. When Ruth would bring up issues, she was apparently labeled as being “difficult.”

Then, an incident happened while filming in Montauk, New York that made cast members uncomfortable…and GirlsLena Dunham is involved.

It all started when Lena Dunham, Girls cast members, and The Affair executive producer and director Jeffrey Reiner happened to run into each other in the Hamptons town.

Sources say that Jeffrey asked Lena if she would go to dinner with Ruth to try and get her to “show her t*ts, or at least some vag,” and then he apparently went on to “critique and crudely evaluate the bodies of all the women on his show.”

Apparently, Jeffrey also showed Lena a photo of “a mutual friend with a c*ck next to her face,” which sources say was Maura Tierney, another actress on The Affair. This encounter was all documented on Lena and Jenni Konner‘s now shuttered website Lenny Letter.

After this encounter happened and news spread about it, THR says that Ruth and Maura both “expressed discomfort about continuing to work with Reiner.” He eventually was told he could no longer direct episodes with Ruth. He ended up leaving the show after the third season, and Ruth left as well and this is the incident that she was able to use to negotiate her exit.
