Lena Dunham was photographed using a cane to help her to her ride and she’s explaining that she is having an Ehler-Danlos syndrome flare.

“I could choose to be embarrassed by these paparazzi pics- I mean, that’s probably the point of someone publishing them in the first place- but I’m really not. I could lie and say it was an early Halloween look (Don’t you get it? I’m going as a con woman leaving a Florida Keys jail after being acquitted of murdering her husband, and now she’s trying to get disability license plates.),” Lena wrote when she posted the photo on her Instagram account.

Lena continued, “But the truth is just: This is what life is like when I’m struggling most with chronic illness. An Ehler-Danlos syndrome flare means that I need support from more than just my friends… so thank you, sweet cane! For years, I resisted doing anything that would make my physical situation easier, insisting that a cane would “make things weird.” But it’s so much less weird to actually be able to participate than to stay in bed all day. And yes, you’d better believe I’m wearing my nightgown. I was walking four feet to the car to go to the doctor and I wanted to be full cozy. I mean, didn’t Bieber wear hotel slippers for like five years? Yeah, so I can wear my glamour nighty for two hours. And then an hour later, I’m in a meeting look tackling the job I love. That’s the two-fold life of a woman with chronic illness; we still rock our dreams and goals and passions (and fashions) and we live many lives in one day. Tell me about your day!”

According to reports, “Ehlers-Danlos syndromes are a group of connective tissue disorders that can be inherited and are varied both in how they affect the body and in their genetic causes. They are generally characterized by joint hypermobility (joints that stretch further than normal), skin hyperextensibility (skin that can be stretched further than normal), and tissue fragility.”

Lena has been very open about her health struggles and surgeries in the past.

Tom Hiddleston and Charlie Cox are all smiles while attending the Betrayal opening night party on Thursday (September 5) at The Pool at the Seagram Building in New York City.

The guys were joined at the event by their co-stars Zawe Ashton, who is giving a breakout performance, and Eddie Arnold.

Tom and Charlie are both Marvel stars who play Loki and Daredevil, respectively. They are both making their Broadway debuts in the show, which previously had a sold-out run on London’s West End. The play is running now through December 8, so get your tickets before you lose your chance!

Lena Dunham is busy with a new endeavor.

The 33-year-old Girls alum revealed that she is launching a new company called Good Thing Going Productions on her Instagram on Wednesday (August 21).

“Today I have the joy of announcing my new company, Good Thing Going Productions. We have been quietly forming this company for a year, filling our slate with projects (and more on the way!) that are a true expression of what I love- telling stories about complex and thorny people -mostly women- and the way they move through the world. I couldn’t do this alone. Especially as a woman who battles daily with her body, I rely on this fleet of geniuses: @marissaconqueso @lizwatsontots @michaelpcohen & @soham_j,” she wrote.

“We named our company #GoodThingGoing to remind ourselves that’s what we have: a chance every day to do what we love. It’s a reminder of gratitude in a world that demands we ask for more, more, more. But these collaborators and these opportunities are enough, and they’re worth celebrating daily. Now, can someone please convince my coworkers that we need an office pig? On her mother’s obsession with realizing a new home: “My mother is obsessed with real estate. This obsession borders on romantic. She’s never been content in a home for more than a few months before she starts fantasizing about the next one, searching and craving and driving everyone around her mad with her desire to level up.”

On how she purchased her first home at 26 at a deal: “I thought I was content when I moved out at 26 (too old, I know, I know) and bought my first apartment: a prewar deal so good that other New Yorkers became angry when I told them (I got it off a dead guy who nobody liked! That’s the secret!)”

On being “real-estate shamed:” I made a massive real-estate mistake, the kind that nightmares are made of. I bought something in a state of panic, feeling like if I didn’t put down roots soon I’d float away. I never even moved in, and magazines wrote about it when I sold it at a loss. I was real-estate shamed.”

Lena Dunham is describing the moment she moved out of her shared apartment with Jack Antonoff after they broke up.

It started when they bought an apartment together and he went on tour while she decorated. She was going for “decrepit glam,” but Jack was “afraid of dust.”

“He didn’t want to hate it,” Lena told Domino about how he felt when he returned from tour. “He tried not to hate it. But he didn’t like living among the insides of my mind.”

“I felt sick every time I made a design concession or covered up pink with dove gray. Love can only survive so much. At night, I mapped out my dream space in my head,” Lena added.

“The last time I saw that apartment was when we agreed, with love, that someone had to go. ‘You can finally eat in the bed without anyone getting mad at you,’ he said through tears,” Lena added.

After Jack Antonoff and Lena Dunham broke up in 2018, there were rumors that he dated her friend Lorde.

Lena Dunham planted a kiss on Brad Pitt while at the premiere for Once Upon a Time in Hollywood on Tuesday (July 30) in London, England.

The photo of Lena, 33, and Brad, 55, is now going viral.

Lena and Brad previously made headlines when she flashed her underwear in front of him while they were filming the movie.

Lena previously explained, “That was between takes, [with] him trying to sort of chill and brush up on his lines. It made sense in the moment. We were talking about kewpie dolls. Do you guys know what a kewpie doll is? It’s like an illustrated character of the 1920s. Someone asked, ‘What’s a kewpie doll?’ And I said, ‘Well, I can show you. I’ve got one right here on my side’…If you’ve got it illustrated on your body, who are you not to show this?”
