The 23-year-old singer tweeted about the experience.

“A lady at the grammys has just come up and offered to take my seat because she thought I was one of the people who sits in the chairs to fill them when someone gets up to use the bathroom #GRAMMYs,” Lewis posted, and then retweeted a short time later.

Lewis Capaldi Turned Down a Collaboration with Camila Cabello

Lewis Capaldi went to number one on the Billboard Hot 100 with his hit song “Someone You Loved,” but it doesn’t seem like label execs were confident he could do it alone.

The 23-year-old singer revealed that he was presented with a list of artists to join him on a duet version of the song in hopes of pushing it up the chart.

“I said, ‘No, I’d rather have a number three by myself than a number one with a feature’ because it was still so new in America that everyone would think it was someone else’s song,” Lewis told Music Week magazine.

“Say f–king Camila Cabello did a version of it people would go, ‘Oh, that Camila song with that guy on it?” Lewis said.

Camila actually DID do a cover version of the song, which you can listen to here!
