It’s week two of Matt James‘ season of The Bachelor and it seemed like things were going smoothly until the final moments of the episode.

Matt went on two one-on-one dates and one group date this week. He handed out roses to Bri and Sarah during the one-on-ones and Lauren got the rose during the group date.

During the cocktail party ahead of the rose ceremony, Matt shared a sweet moment with Marylynn. He gave her an orchid because he “remembered” that she likes them and she was shocked because she wasn’t sure if he even remembered her name. After the season’s villain Victoria found out, she decided to go to Matt and tell him that Marylynn said things to her that weren’t nice.

Matt then confronted Marylynn, who denied saying anything hurtful. She then tried to make peace with Victoria, who didn’t want to make nice.

The new season of The Bachelor just premiered and everyone can’t get over how Matt James, the show’s new lead, is so tall!

The 28-year-old real estate broker towered over the women while he greeted them at the limo drop-off point and he even looked so much taller than Chris Harrison while standing next to him.

“how tall is matt james bc he is TOWERING over everyone omg,” one fan tweeted.

Another fan said, “Cue all of Bachelor Nation googling how tall Matt James is.”

The 28-year-old real estate broker from New York City was introduced to 32 women during the first episode of the season. By the end of the night, he had to say goodbye to eight of the contestants.

The season premiere of The Bachelor‘s new season with Matt James is premiering tonight and we have all the details on the contestants!

Matt was supposed to be a contestant on The Bachelorette this year, but he was promoted to the star of The Bachelor in the middle of the pandemic. He will be the first Black man to lead the ABC dating reality show.

Did you know that he is best friends with Tyler Cameron? He appeared on Hannah Brown‘s season of The Bachelorette and was one of her finalists. They all spent time together at the beginning of quarantine in March 2020.

The network just announced the 32 women who are on the hunt for love during season 25.

At the end of night one, 24 lucky bachelorettes remain to toast the Bachelor and join him on the romantic adventure of a lifetime. The season premiere airs on Monday, January 4 at 8pm.

Chris Harrison is dishing on Matt James‘ upcoming season of The Bachelor!

During a new interview, the Bachelor host revealed that Matt didn’t know much about the show before being cast as the new lead, and also had to get used to being in front of the camera.

“It was really funny,” Chris shared with Us Weekly. “There were some times where he would just — we’d be talking a thousand miles an hour and he would just stop and say, ‘Guys, I don’t know what you’re saying.’”

Chris also recalled Matt telling him, “I’ve never done [this]. I don’t know what a rose ceremony is. And we’re like, ‘Oh my gosh.’”

“We had to really go back and learn our ABCs and spoon feed this guy,” Chris continued. “But you know, to your point, there was a sense of innocence [and] naivete that was very endearing about that because he was also real.”

He added: “Everything was happening to him for the first time: group dates, two-on-ones, rose ceremonies. His eyes were just like wide open going, ‘Oh, this is crazy.’”

ABC just revealed the 32 women who will be competing for Matt James‘ heart on the upcoming season of The Bachelor and there’s one contestant who stands out among the rest.

A 27-year-old woman from Los Angeles named Victoria has her job occupation listed as “queen” and she likes to refer to herself as Queen Victoria.

In a new interview with Extra, host Chris Harrison said, “Well, obviously, I think a lot of people were talking about the queen, Queen Victoria… Look, she’ll make her mark. Will people love her? We’ll see. And you know, she definitely gets embroiled in some royal controversy… There is one controversy in particular… and how it works… is stunning and it is shocking, it is bizarre… and it’s not just with women on night one, there’s 32 women on night one. I can tell you this — that’s not all the women that will be on this season.”
