Mark Wahlberg shows off his super buff biceps as he arrives for a long day on set on Tuesday morning (May 9) in Berlin, Mass.

The 45-year-old actor was joined on set by his co-star Mel Gibson as they continued filming their upcoming comedy Daddy’s Home 2.

Mel plays Mark‘s dad in the upcoming sequel to the 2015 comedy Daddy’s Home. Will Ferrell is also returning to the sequel.

John Lithgow is set to play the role of Will‘s dad in the upcoming comedy. The film currently has a release date of November 10.

Mark Wahlberg and Will Ferrell bundle up on the set of their upcoming movie Daddy’s Home 2 on Monday (April 3) in Concord, Mass.

The guys were joined on set by their co-star Mel Gibson, who joins the cast of the film as Mark‘s father. They were seen filming a scene set around Christmastime, in which they lined up to take pictures with Santa.

The 61-year-old actor and his wife, 26, coupled up for the 2017 Academy Awards held at the Dolby Theatre on Sunday (February 26) in Hollywood.

Their new son Lars Gerard marks Rosalind‘s first child and Mel‘s ninth.

Mel is nominated for the Best Director award for his work on Hacksaw Ridge, which just took home the award for Best Sound Mixing!

Host Jimmy Kimmel called out Mel at one point, stating, “There’s only one Braveheart in this room and he’s not going to unite us either.”

Mel Gibson is in very early talks to take on the role of director for an upcoming Suicide Squad sequel, according to THR.

The 61-year-old actor and director would be taking over for David Ayers, who directed the first flick.

Sources say that Mel is currently familiarizing himself with the film’s material but Warner Brothers is pursuing the relationship.

The original Suicide Squad film was a hit, starring Will Smith, Margot Robbie and Jared Leto, and grossed $745 million worldwide.

Mel mostly recently directed the Oscar-nominated war movie Hacksaw Ridge, which has made $164 million worldwide.

Oscar nominees Natalie Portman, Viola Davis, and Nicole Kidman stepped out for the 2017 Academy Awards Nominee Luncheon held at The Beverly Hilton Hotel on Monday (February 6) in Beverly Hills, Calif.

Natalie is nominated for Jackie, Viola for Fences, and Nicole for Lion. Also in attendance were nominees Denzel Washington (for Fences), Dev Patel (for Lion), Jeff Bridges (for Hell or High Water) and Mel Gibson (for directing Hacksaw Ridge). Laura Dern was also in attendance to show her support.

Mel Gibson and Vince Vaughn are teaming up again for an upcoming film titled Dragged Across Concrete.

According to Variety, the movie is a crime thriller about police brutality, and they “play cops who are suspended when a video of their strong-arm tactics gets wide attention. They then descend into the criminal underworld to exact vengeance.”

It will be directed by S. Craig Zahler.

“I am absolutely thrilled to have Mel and Vince agree to play the lead roles,” he told the mag.

In case you didn’t know, Vince starred the Mel-directed Hacksaw Ridge, which earned six Oscar nominations.

The 61-year-old actor and his 26-year-old girlfriend Rosalind Ross celebrated the arrival of a healthy baby boy over the weekend at a hospital in Los Angeles.

The couple named the 5 lbs. 5 oz. little boy Lars Gerard!

“They’re thrilled and Lars is adorable. Their family is all around them and Mel is over the moon. They’re home and everybody is healthy and happy!” a source explained.

Mel is already father to eight other children. This is the first child for Rosalind.
