Colin Farrell took a very special lady to the Golden Globes – his mom!

The 40-year-old actor stepped out at the show with his mom Rita held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on Sunday (January 8) in Beverly Hills, Calif.

Other celebrities on the red carpet included Viggo Mortensen, Michael Keaton and Mel Gibson, who was accompanied by his pregnant girlfriend Rosalind Ross.

During the ceremony, Colin was nominated for Best Actor in a Comedy or Musical for his role in The Lobster while Viggo was nominated for Best Actor in a Drama for Captain Fantastic. Meanwhile, Mel was nominated for Best Director for Hacksaw Ridge.

The couple were joined at the event by fellow aussie Luke Hemsworth as well as Emma Stone, Mel Gibson, Dev Patel, Isla Fisher and Sacha Baron Cohen.

During the ceremony, the Australian Academy honored Nicole with Best Supporting Actress for her role in Lion, while they honored her co-star Dev with Best Supporting Actor.

Emma received the award for Best Lead actress for her role in La La Land, while the film itself took home Best Film.

Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield met up while attending the 2017 AFI Awards luncheon, which honored their movies as some of the best from 2016!

The former couple was seen chatting at the event, though no photos of them together have been released. The luncheon took place on Friday afternoon (January 6) at the Four Seasons Hotel in Los Angeles.

Emma was joined by her La La Land co-star Ryan Gosling and director Damien Chazelle.

Andrew was at the event to support two films. He was joined by Silence director Martin Scorsese as well as Hacksaw Ridge director Mel Gibson (with pregnant partner Rosalind Ross) and co-stars Vince Vaughn and Luke Bracey.

Say goodbye to Mel Gibson‘s signature bushy beard!

While making an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live on Thursday evening (January 6), the 61-year-old Hacksaw Ridge director volunteered to cut a stranger’s hair on the street. The stranger in question was a New Zealand student named William, who had been growing his long, curly, ginger locks for the past three years.

“I used to cut my children’s hair when they were little. They didn’t have a choice in the matter,” Mel expressed outside on the street salon set-up. “It wasn’t a great job, but it got them through. They’re still alive.”

In return, Mel gave William the chance to get his own payback by letting him shave off his beard. “Well what do you think – I’ve had it for a long time, it’s part of my identity,” Mel joked. “You gonna do your worst? Go!”

Bryce Dallas Howard sparkles as she hits the carpet while attending the 2016 Huading Global Film Awards held at The Theatre at Ace Hotel on Thursday (December 15) in Los Angeles.

The 35-year-old actress was joined at the event by Hilary Swank, Mel Gibson, Aaron Paul, Jeremy Piven, Sylvester Stallone and performer of the evening Brandy.

Hacksaw Ridge is already winning big at the 22nd Critics’ Choice Awards!

The film just won Best Action Film as the film’s star Andrew Garfield won Best Actor in an Action Film!

The film’s director – Mel Gibson – is also nominated for Best Director during tonight’s awards show.

Mel was joined on the red carpet by his pregnant girlfriend Rosalind Ross – who dressed her baby bump in a lace dress.

Andrew looked handsome as he rocked a navy suit to the awards show as he hit the red carpet solo.

Mel Gibson, who has been through his fair share of scandal throughout his career, is speaking out to defend another actor/director caught up in a recent controversy: Nate Parker.

The director and star of The Birth of a Nation was accused of rape back in the late 1990s and he was found not guilty. When the case resurfaced this summer, it overshadowed his movie and seemingly has ruined its chances this awards season.

Mel has made racist, anti-Semitic, and homophobic comments throughout the years and he has also been accused of spousal abuse.

“I don’t think it’s fair. He was cleared of all that stuff. And it was years ago. You have to follow the system there,” Mel told The Guardian.
