Michael B. Jordan is supporting a great cause!

The 30-year-old actor and Lupus LA ambassador hosted the first annual MBJAM17 event on Saturday (September 16) at the Ritz Carlton in Marina Del Rey, Calif.

The event raised awareness of lupus to help fund research and find a cure for those affected with the disease, including Michael‘s mother, Donna Jordan.

Michael was joined by Blake Griffin and Terrence J for the “Hot Shot GAAme Time Challenge” between team Michael (James Worthy, Miles Brown and Emmanuelle Chriqui) and team Blake (Jason Collins, Caleb McLaughlin and Bret Lockett).

Attendees enjoyed break dance performances, basketball-themed entertainment and a variety of clinics and interactive displays.

Yara Shahidi wows once again on the red carpet at the 2017 Emmy Awards held at the Microsoft Theater on Sunday (September 17) in Los Angeles.

The young actress joined her black-ish on-screen siblings Marsai Martin, Miles Brown and Marcus Scribner for the event tonight.

Black-ish is up for Outstanding Comedy Series against Atlanta, Master of None, Modern Family, Silicon Valley, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt and Veep.

Ariel Winter hits the red carpet with boyfriend Levi Meaden at the 2017 Entertainment Weekly Pre-Emmy Party on Friday (September 15) at Sunset Tower Hotel in West Hollywood, Calif.

The 19-year-old actress was joined at the event by her Modern Family co-stars Sarah Hyland, Nolan Gould, and Rico Rodriguez, with his sister Raini.

Anthony Anderson as Transparent‘s Maura Pfefferman? Now that would be something!

While talking about his Emmy nomination for Black-ish, the 47-year-old actor revealed that he would gladly switch roles with fellow Emmy nominee, Jeffrey Tambor, who plays Transparent favorite Maura Pfefferman.

“Jeffrey Tambor, just because he’s won the Emmy every year that I’ve been nominated,” Anthony told THR. “I want to know what that feels like.”

They hit the stage with co-stars Laurence Fishburne, Yara Shahidi, Marcus Scribner, Miles Brown, and Marsai Martin held at the Television Academy on Wednesday (April 12) in North Hollywood, Calif.

Viola Davis gives her acceptance speech on stage at the 2017 NAACP Image Awards‘ non-televised ceremony on Friday night (February 10) at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium in Pasedena, Calif.

The Oscar-nominated actress won the award for Outstanding Supporting Actress for her work in the movie Fences.
