Casting director Carmen Cuba opened up about the casting process, and opened up about each character’s future on the show, in a feature for Vanity Fair.
The feature includes the first audition tapes submitted by Noah Schnapp, Millie Bobby Brown, Finn Wolfhard, Caleb McLaughlin and Gaten Matarazzo, as well as finding the perfect Vecna.

Noah Schnapp is finally opening up about his Stranger Things character Will Byers’ sexuality after years of speculation that he is gay.
Throughout the four seasons of the Netflix show, Will has never expressed romantic interest in any girls while all of his friends have done so. Many have felt that Will is terrified of coming out of the closet.
While promoting the first half of season four, Noah said Will’s sexuality was “up to the audience’s interpretation,” but now he’s no longer dodging the question.

The 17-year-old actor, who plays Will Byers on Stranger Things, opened up about what happened between him and Doja and what she said to him after he privately apologized.
In case you missed it, Doja had sent Noah a DM asking him to set her up with his co-star Joseph Quinn. He shared the message on his TikTok page and then she called him out for doing that.

Last week, the 17-year-old actor publicly shared his Instagram DMs with the 26-year-old “Say So” singer after she asked him to tell his Stranger Things co-star Joseph Quinn to her hit up.
After the DMs went viral, Doja took to social media to respond, slamming him for sharing their “private conversation,” which she called “snake s–t.”
On Wednesday (July 13), Noah returned to social media to address the situation.
