Alexander Skarsgard holds his young co-star Onata Aprile in his arms at the LA Times Indie Focus Screening of their film What Maisie Knew held at Laemmle NoHo 7 on Thursday (May 16) in North Hollywood, Calif.

The 36-year-old actor and his cast mate were joined at the event by their directors Scott McGehee and David Siegel and LA Times writer Mark Olsen.

Alexander Skarsgard holds his young co-star Onata Aprile in his arms while walking the red carpet at the screening of their film What Maisie Knew on Thursday (May 2) at the Landmark Sunshine Cinema in New York City.

The 36-year-old actor was also joined by his co-stars Julianne Moore and Joanna Vanderham, as well as Girls actress Zosia Mamet.

Even though Alex is rumored to be attached to star in the upcoming The Crow remake, he told MTV that it is not true.

“No, I’m not attached to anything right now after True Blood,” Alexander said.

FYI: Julianne is wearing a Valentino dress, Tabitha Simmons shoes, Cartier jewels, and Tods clutch. The screening was hosted by The Cinema Society, Tod’s, and GQ.

Here’s the film’s synopsis: 7-year-old Maisie (Onata Aprile) is caught in the middle of a custody battle between her mother Suzanna (Moore), an aging rock star, and her father, Beale (Steve Coogan), a major art dealer. In a race to win the court’s advantage, Beale marries Maisie’s nanny Margo (Joanna Vanderham), prompting Suzanna to marry friend and local bartender, Lincoln (Skarsgard). Both forced into a battle they didn’t want, Margo and Lincoln may turn out to be the family Maisie really needs.

What Maisie Knew is expected to be released in theaters later this year.

The film is about a young girl (Onata Aprile, pictured inside), who is caught in the middle of her parents’ (Steve Coogan and Moore) bitter divorce.
