ABC has decided to let go of two drama series.

Matt Lopez, the creator of the new ABC series Promised Land, is assuring fans that the show has not been cancelled amid the impending move to Hulu.

Tonight’s new episode, which is the fifth episode of the season, will be the final one to air on ABC as the network has pulled the show from its schedule.

The remaining five episodes in season one will air on Tuesdays on Hulu and there’s still a possibility that the show will get a second season.

ABC is pulling their brand new drama, Promised Land, from the schedule and moving it to Hulu for the remaining season one episodes.

Beginning on March 1, Promised Land will air a new episode every Tuesday on the streamer. The ratings for the series have been low.

Instead of Promised Land airing on Monday nights at 10pm ET, The Good Doctor will actually be returning earlier than planned and taking over the timeslot. The Good Doctor was supposed to be on hiatus until April, but will now resume new episodes on February 28.

“‘Promised Land’ is a beautifully executed and tremendously entertaining series of which everyone at our company is extremely proud,” ABC said in a statement. “We know it has a passionate audience that is very invested in this show, and those viewers will be able to stream all subsequent episodes exclusively on Hulu every Tuesday for the rest of the season.”

The show is described as an epic, generation-spanning drama about a Latinx family vying for wealth and power in California’s Sonoma Valley.

The series will kick off with an explosive series premiere, where alliances and loyalties are tested as Joe Sandoval assesses the future of his family-run Sonoma Valley wine business.

In the same episode, just a few hundred miles south but a world away, Carlos Rincón and sisters Juana and Rosa Sánchez cross the U.S. border from Mexico in search of a better life.

Promised Land premieres TONIGHT, January 24 at 10 p.m. on ABC. You can stream the episode next day on Hulu.
