Samantha Bee is apologizing to Ivanka Trump.

If you missed it, Samantha called Ivanka a “feckless c*nt” on Full Frontal with Samantha Bee. The White House then slammed Samantha over her remarks.

Samantha took to Twitter to apologize moments ago.

“I would like to sincerely apologize to Ivanka Trump and to my viewers for using an expletive on my show to describe her last night. It was inappropriate and inexcusable. I crossed a line, and I deeply regret it,” she wrote on her Twitter on Thursday (May 31).

Samantha Bee is involved in some controversy after she called Ivanka Trump a “feckless c*nt” during a segment about immigration on last night’s Full Frontal with Samantha Bee.

The White House responded today (May 31) with a statement.

“The language used by Samantha Bee last night is vile and vicious. The collective silence by the left and its media allies is appalling,” White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said in a statement (via The Wrap).

“Her disgusting comments and show are not fit for broadcast, and executives at Time Warner and TBS must demonstrate that such explicit profanity about female members of this administration will not be condoned on its network,” she added.

Samantha has not made a comment about the backlash at this time.

Samantha Bee is under fire for a statement she made about Ivanka Trump.

“Ivanka Trump, who works at the White House, chose to post the second-most oblivious tweet we’ve seen this week,” Samantha said, referencing both Roseanne Barr‘s racist tweet, as well as Ivanka‘s tweet spending time with one of her kids amid her immigration policy controversies. “You know, Ivanka, that’s a beautiful photo of you and your child, but let me just say, one mother to another: Do something about your dad’s immigration practices, you feckless c*nt! He listens to you! Put on something tight and low-cut and tell your father to f*ckin’ stop it.”

Some public figures, like Megyn Kelly, were opposed.

“This is disgusting. How is this acceptable? And how are we expected to take any of these publications seriously if they gleefully repost something like this at the same time they (rightfully) condemn @therealroseanne? You know the saying Love is Love? Well Hate is Hate,” Megyn posted.

Kathy Griffin, however, defended Samantha, writing, “Yes we can talk about it..but first let’s talk about this: 1. Ivanka is 36. Malia was 10 when she entered the White House, 2. Ivanka is a senior administration official.., 3. @iamsambee is a comic.”

That same evening, the 48-year-old comedian appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live and was presented with an old clip of herself interviewing Kellyanne Conway on The Daily Show.

“Our interactions were quite pleasant and lovely,” Samantha said. “She was on The Daily Show many, many times in the years that I was there.”

“It got to the point where people were like — producers were like, ‘Uh, should we call Kellyanne? She’ll say anything that we want her to.’ And they were like, ‘Well, we kinda use her too much. Let’s not call Kellyanne this time’,” Samantha continued. “Because even back then, we had a sense that she was very thirsty.”

Emily Blunt happily poses alongside her husband John Krasinski while attending Variety’s 2018 Power of Women: New York held at Cipriani Wall Street on Friday (April 13) in New York City.

The happy couple and A Quiet Place co-stars were joined at the event by Viola Davis and her husband Julius Tennon, Emily Mortimer, Christine Baranski, Padma Lakshmi, Grace Vanderwaal, Ronan Farrow, Samantha Bee and Robin Roberts.

Emily, 35, who was honored at the event, hit the stage to discuss how the topic of girls’ education “moves and matters” to her greatly.

“They yearn to learn, they crave it,” Emily said of her daughters Hazel and Violet (via Variety). “They are lucky enough — and as was I and as were most girls that I knew growing up — that your dreams were never going to fall on deaf ears, and that your thoughts and voice mattered and could make a difference.”
