Sebastian Maniscalco made an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and made the special announcement that he will be hosting the MTV VMAs for the first time.
“It’s huge! I’m so excited,” the 45-year-old comedian told Jimmy. “My family is negative, my dad called and said ‘you don’t know nothing about today’s music.’”
“I didn’t really grow up with pop culture music but I think this is going to be fun,” Sebastian added. “MTV wants kind of an unfiltered look of the VMA’s through my eyes.”
The show will be held in New Jersey for the first time ever, taking place on Monday, August 26 at the Prudential Center in Newark.
Sebastian Maniscalco also discussed the birth of his baby boy, falling down the stairs at the Oscars trying to get down from his nosebleed seat for Green Book‘s win.
