Sebastian Maniscalco Talks Hosting MTV VMAs 2019 on 'Tonight Show' - Watch Here!

Sebastian Maniscalco made an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and made the special announcement that he will be hosting the MTV VMAs for the first time.

“It’s huge! I’m so excited,” the 45-year-old comedian told Jimmy. “My family is negative, my dad called and said ‘you don’t know nothing about today’s music.’”

“I didn’t really grow up with pop culture music but I think this is going to be fun,” Sebastian added. “MTV wants kind of an unfiltered look of the VMA’s through my eyes.”

The show will be held in New Jersey for the first time ever, taking place on Monday, August 26 at the Prudential Center in Newark.

Sebastian Maniscalco also discussed the birth of his baby boy, falling down the stairs at the Oscars trying to get down from his nosebleed seat for Green Book‘s win.

MTV VMAs 2019 - Sebastian Maniscalco Announced as Host!

Sebastian Maniscalco has been announced as the host for the upcoming 2019 MTV Video Music Awards!

The show will be held in New Jersey for the first time ever, taking place on Monday, August 26 at the Prudential Center in Newark.

Sebastian is a comedian who has sold out shows at Madison Square Garden and Radio City Music Hall. He was named Billboard‘s Comedian of the Year in 2018 and published his book “Stay Hungry” last year.

“We’re thrilled to have the incredibly talented Sebastian Maniscalco as this year’s VMA host,” VMAs executive producer Bruce Gillmer said in a statement. “Sebastian is on fire right now and his comedic spin on relatable topics will make this year’s show truly unforgettable.”

The two were among the many stars in attendance at GOOD+ Foundation’s Evening Of Comedy + Music Benefit at Stern Auditorium / Perelman Stage at Carnegie Hall on Wednesday evening (September 12) in New York City.

The GOOD+ Foundation is a national nonprofit founded by Jessica Seinfeld that provides training and support to fathers and families living in poverty. The event raised nearly $2 million for the organization’s work helping families build stability and create an upward trajectory for their children.

The night included performances from Jerry Seinfeld, Leslie Jones, Gad Elmaleh and Sebastian Maniscalco.

John performed hits including “Love Me Now” and “All of Me,” while Common performed alongside Robert Glasper and Karriem Riggins of his supergroup, August Greene. Michael Strahan and Seth Meyers both made special guest appearances on stage.

Attendees included Naomi Watts, Chris Rock, Tiffany Haddish, Victoria Justice, Chris Harrison, Beth Stern, Jenny Mollen and Jason Biggs, Ali Wentworth and George Stephanopoulos, Baron Davis, Ted Sarandos and Nicole Avant.

Amy Schumer and Michael Rapaport stopped by the post-performance party to congratulate Jessica and Jerry as well.

Emily Ratajkowski and Spencer Boldman couple up in the trailer for their new movie Cruise!

The 27-year-old model and the 26-year-old former Lab Rats actor both star in the 1980s-inspired flick.

Here’s the synopsis: It’s the Summer of ’87, and Gio (Spencer), an Italian kid from Queens, has little on his mind but cars and girls. Gio thinks he’s got it all figured out until he meets Jessica (Emily), a nice Jewish girl from Long Island who likes to go undercover for illicit thrills on the wrong side of the tracks. An affectionate look at the youth culture of a bygone era, Cruise celebrates the joys of muscle cars, Motorola pagers and endless summer nights.

Written and directed by Robert Siegel, Cruise also stars Sebastian Maniscalco, Lucas Salvagno, Kathrine Narducci, Noah Robbins, and Gino Cafarelli.

It will premiere in theaters and on demand on September 28.
