In other, less positive Netflix news, the streaming service just cancelled another original TV show.

During the stand-up bit, he joked about calling someone up and being disappointed if they picked up because people just love seeing a flashing red light when they got home to know they’re popular: “It’s very important for human beings to feel they are popular and well liked amongst a large group of people that we don’t care for,” he noted.

“The phone machine is like this relationship respirator keeping these marginal, braindead relationships alive. We all do it. Why? So when we come home, we see that little flashing red light…people need that.”
