'The Tonight Show', 'Late Show' and More Late Night Talk Shows Are Going Without Audiences Following Coronavirus Pandemic

The audiences of The Tonight Show, The Late Show, Late Night, and many more will be empty starting next Monday (March 16), THR reports.

The New York based late night shows are following suit as coronavirus continues to spread.

NBC’s The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and Late Night With Seth Meyers, CBS’ The Late Show With Stephen Colbert, Comedy Central’s The Daily Show With Trevor Noah, TBS’ Full Frontal With Samantha Bee, HBO’s Last Week Tonight and Bravo’s Watch What Happens Live will continue taping episodes, but without audiences.

“The safety of our guests and employees is our top priority,” NBC shared in a statement. “As a precautionary measure, starting Monday, March 16, we have decided to suspend live audiences for The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and Late Night With Seth Meyers. Per guidance from New York City officials, the company is hoping to do its part to help to decrease the rate of transmission in our communities. Our shows will continue filming on their regular schedule, and currently, there will be no impact on air dates.”

CBS added in its’ own statement, “The Late Show With Stephen Colbert will film without a live, in-studio audience. This move is being made out of an abundance of caution regarding the spread of the COVID-19 virus and the uncertainty of the situation for future weeks.”

“There have not been any specific developments at The Ed Sullivan Theater to cause concern for audiences with plans to attend the show tonight, tomorrow, or who have attended in recent weeks. For several weeks, the team at the theater has been taking all necessary precautions to protect everyone who enters and works in the theater with enhanced cleaning and sanitizing procedures.”

These shows follow Ellen DeGeneres Show, Wendy Williams Show, Dr. Phil, The View and Live With Kelly and Ryan in filming without in-studio audiences.

Emily Ratajkowski is representing for the Hot Girls for Bernie!

While making an appearance on Late Night with Seth Meyers on Tuesday night (March 10), the 28-year-old model and actress discussed her experience campaigning for Bernie Sanders, the senator’s effect on the Democratic party’s politics and “Bernie Bros.”

“A lot of people are like ‘pretty girl, stay out of politics and stay in your lane,’ which I don’t agree with. I think we are all citizens, we should all be talking about politics,” Emily told host Seth. “I think it’s a myth, the Bernie Bro myth, and I think that a lot of Bernie supporters were like ‘hey, we need to cancel this Bernie Bro hashtag with something new and different. Sort of in response to peoples comments about ‘stick to your lane’ #HotGirlsForBernie was born and now there’s a filter on Instagram.”

Emily Ratajkowski also talked about starting her own business and writing a book of essays.

Nick Jonas is opening up about something that he wanted to pursue, which would have been so different than music!

The 27-year-old singer chatted with Seth Meyers during an appearance on Late Night with Seth Meyers on Wednesday (February 26) in New York City.

Nick revealed that he looked at colleges over 10 years ago and wanted to pursue baseball at Northwestern University. At the time, he was already famous from being in the Jonas Brothers.

“I went back in 2008 or 2009. We were on tour. We stopped in Chicago. I had dreams of going to college to study being a writer, journalist, or something. And I went with my dad to visit the campus and it turned into a scene from Hard Day’s Night,” Nick shared. “But the real dream was to try to walk on to the baseball team to play.”

Will Ferrell Had To Be Rescued After Getting Lost with No Money in Switzerland!

Will Ferrell and Julia Louis-Dreyfus stopped by Late Night With Seth Meyers on Thursday (February 13) to promote their new movie Downhill, and told some hilarious stories about what went down while filming the comedy.

The 52-year-old actor shared totally hilarious story about him getting lost after skiing downhill to Switzerland while on location.

“The second resort we were in, called Ischgl, shares the border,” Ferrell explained. “There were little signs, like, ‘This way, Switzerland.’ I’m, like, let’s do it. So I’m by myself, I’m skiing down, I was like, this is so lovely and, like, but I don’t see a chair lift back at all. And I end up in a small town in Switzerland. Gone for, like, three hours. I have to figure out, like, a bus and a tram. I had no money.”

Will joked, “The Swiss are naty. To get cornered by a bunch of Swiss, chanting at me. Pelting me with Rolex watches. Hard chocolate candies. It was harrowing.”

Director and Writer Jim Rash, who joined the actors later in the show, seems to have hoped for a different outcome: “We were actually upset that he came back. We were like, we did it. But he found his way back, so, you do what you can,” joked Rash.

Andy Samberg Performs 'Sensitive Bully' Rejected 'SNL' Sketch on 'Late Night' - Watch Here!

Seth Meyers gave Andy Samberg a chance to resurrect one of his old cut Saturday Night Live sketches during a round of “Second Chance Theatre” on last night’s (February 4) Late Night!

The 41-year-old Brooklyn Nine-Nine star along with the help of John Mulaney, Kenan Thompson and some of the Late Night gang performed the never-before-aired SNL sketch called “Griff Banks the Sensitive Bully,” in which Andy played the titular character who instantly falls apart every time he attempts to bully his classmates and receives even the slightest amount of pushback in return.

“It was written by me and Colin Jost and Rob Klein and its sort of pulling from the ’80s and some ’90s film troupes of like the bully that’s like riding the nerd the whole movie,” Andy explained. “But then when the nerd stands up to the bully, the bully kind of caves and you’re like, yeah! go nerd!’”

“I’m a terrible bully. This isn’t even a varsity jacket, it’s My Little Pony!” Andy says during the sketch. “I’m not a bully, I’m just a gaping snorf!”

Also during his appearance, Andy hit the couch and talked about fatherhood, his supreme distaste for Seth’s dog, Frisbee, his record-breaking Sundance Film Festival deal, and the return of Brooklyn Nine-Nine.
