Shazam is celebrating a milestone.
The popular music app, which boasts 225 million global monthly users, turned 20 this week, surpassing 70 billion song recognitions.
To celebrate the milestone, the company put together some interesting stats about the first and most Shazamed songs of the past two decades.

Lucy Liu holds up a prop from her movie Shazam! Fury of the Gods while making an epic entrance at the film’s panel at 2022 Comic-Con.
The actress was joined at the event by co-stars Zachary Levi, Asher Angel, and Jack Dylan Grazer, plus director David F. Sandberg, on Saturday morning (July 23) at the convention center’s Hall H in San Diego, Calif.
The trailer for the movie was unveiled during the panel and Lucy also opened up about playing Kalypso in the sequel.
“I enjoy playing a goddess, there is nothing like it. To be part of the DC world is the most important thing that has happened in my career. To be here now and woman of color and having this wonderful career that I’ve had, it was an honor to be part of something this special. It’s a universe we could all relate to because we all want to belong. It’s place where I feel like I’m home,” she said.

The trailer for Shazam! Fury of the Gods was released during a panel at 2022 Comic-Con and it’s an action-packed look at the upcoming DC Comics movie.
The movie continues the story of teenage Billy Batson (Asher Angel) who, upon reciting the magic word “SHAZAM!,” is transformed into his adult Super Hero alter ego, Shazam (Zachary Levi).
Helen Mirren, Lucy Liu, and Rachel Zegler all joined the cast for the sequel, which will hit theaters on March 17, 2023.
The trailer includes a moment when Zachary‘s character Shazam is talking to Helen‘s character and he brings up the Fast & Furious movies, which real-life Helen stars in. She plays Queenie in several of the movies!

On Monday night (December 6), the 41-year-old actor made an appearance on The Late Late Show where he talked about playing Flynn Ryder in Disney’s Tangled back in 2010, revealing he used a fake British accent during the audition.

A new teaser for the upcoming movie Shazam! Fury of the Gods was released during the DC FanDome event and it includes the first footage of Rachel Zegler in action!
The 20-year-old actress, who makes her movie debut later this year in West Side Story, is featured alongside young star Jack Dylan Grazer in the behind-the-scenes look.
Featured in the new teaser for the upcoming movie, which will be released in 2023, was a look at new characters played by Rachel, Helen Mirren and Lucy Liu, as well as returning stars including Jack, Zachary Levi, Asher Angel, Grace Fulton, Ross Butler, Adam Brody, Meagan Good, DJ Cotrona and Djimon Hounsou.
While not much is known about the plot of the film, this first look offers an insight into the team visiting different places, like Athens, Greece and Philadelphia, Penn.
Rachel is also going to be seen in another huge movie that is in the works!
Zachary Levi pulls out all his superhero moves while filming an action scene for the upcoming Shazam! Fury of the Gods movie in Atlanta, Ga., on Wednesday afternoon (July 7).
The 40-year-old actor was all suited up in his brand new superhero get up, which was cinged by some fire during the intense scene.
In between scenes, Zachary was seen holding onto a bladeless fan to cool down in the muggy weather.
Shazam! Fury of the Gods “will continue the story of teenage Billy Batson who, upon reciting the magic word ‘SHAZAM!’ is struck by the Living Lightning of the gods and transformed into his adult superhero alter ego. Levi returns as the kid-at-heart superhero who is bestowed with the powers of six gods: the wisdom of Solomon, the strength of Hercules, the stamina of Atlas, the power of Zeus, the courage of Achilles and the speed of Mercury. While Shazam is a formidable champion, Billy is still just a fun-loving kid trying to navigate high school while learning how to use his powers.”
