The cast has been revealed for Rihanna‘s new Smurfs movie!

If you forgot, we learned that the 36-year-old “Wild Thoughts” superstar was voicing Smurfette in a new animated project from Paramount at 2023 CinemaCon.

She will also produce and write original music for the movie, which is directed by Chris Miller and co-directed by Matt Landon. The movie does not yet have an official title but is scheduled to premiere in theaters on February 14, 2025.

Almost exactly one year after Rihanna‘s involvement was announced, the rest of the cast was revealed at 2024 CinemaCon.

Rihanna is providing her iconic voice for an iconic role!

The 35-year-old superstar will voice Smurfette in Paramount and Nickelodeon’ Untitled Smurfs animated movie.

She’ll also write and perform original music for the film while serving as a producer on the movie, which is set for a February 14, 2025 release.

Boss Baby once topped the weekend box office with a whopping $26.3 million!

According to THR, the Alec Baldwin animated flick continued to impress and now boasts a domestic total of $89.4 million.

Coming in at No. 2 was Beauty and the Beast, starring Emma Watson and Dan Stevens, which brought in an additional $25 million for a total of $432.3 million in the U.S. and nearing the $1 billion mark globally.

Taking the third spot was the Joe Manganiello and Demi Lovato-voiced flick Smurfs: The Lost Village, which opened to $14 million.

Rounding out the top five were Zach Braff‘s new film Going in Style, and Ghost in the Shell, which earned $12.5 million and $7.3 million, respectively.

Meanwhile, at the specialty box office, Jessica Chastain‘s The Zookeeper’s Wife expanded into 804 theaters and grossed $2.9 million.

Anne Hathaway‘s Colossal opened in four theaters in New York and Los Angeles for an estimated $130,000.

Gifted, starring Chris Evans, Mckenna Grace, and Octavia Spencer, debuted in 56 locations to $476,000.

Finally, Their Finest, starring Gemma Arterton and Sam Claflin, debuted to $77,000 from four theaters in Los Angeles and New York.

Jayma Mays keeps it colorful while appearing on Good Morning America to promote Smurfs 2 at ABC Studios on Tuesday (July 30) in New York City.

The 34-year-old actress was joined for the taping by her co-star Christina Ricci.

Jayma recently confirmed that she was leaving hit show Glee after the upcoming fifth season.

“This is going to be my last season. I’m finishing up this season, so I’m not sure what direction and who’s coming on and who’s not,” Jayma told Access Hollywood.

Christina Ricci dolls up while attending a special screening of The Smurfs during the 2013 Tribeca Film Festival held at BMCC/TPAC on Saturday (April 27) in New York City.

The 33-year-old actress, who voices the newest star Vexy in The Smurfs 2, was seen posing on the red carpet with some of the characters and presented a sneak peek of the new film.
