Ellie Bamber has joined Disney’s upcoming The Nutcracker and the Four Realms, Deadline reports.

The 19-year-old actress, who will star in the upcoming Nocturnal Animals, joins prima ballerina Misty Copeland, Keira Knightley, Morgan Freeman and Mackenzie Foy in the flick, which is based on E.T.A. Hoffmann‘s 1816 story “The Nutcracker And The Mouse King”.

In the original Nutcracker, one of Clara’s Christmas toys – a Nutcracker doll – comes to life and battles the evil Mouse King with seven heads.

The movie will be directed by Lasse Hallstrom.

The movie is set to be directed by Lasse Hallstrom and already has a cast that includes Keira Knightley, Morgan Freeman, ballerina Misty Copeland, and rising star Mackenzie Foy.

The story of the new adaptation will focus “on a young girl named Clara (Foy) who receives a nutcracker doll from her godfather on Christmas Eve. When she goes to check on it later, the clock strikes midnight and she finds herself thrust into a fantastical world where she is in the middle of a war between gingerbread soldiers and an army of mice,” according to THR.
